Experience
Amazon Devices - Device OS
- Own the metrics and log telemetry in the on-device diagnostics framework, across an embedded Linux application processor and FreeRTOS MCU and DSP coprocessors, over shared-memory IPC.
- Designed cross-processor time sync with a shared hardware timer so telemetry timestamps line up across the application processor, DSP, and MCU.
- Own features end to end, from requirements and design docs through design reviews to launch.
- Configured MMU-based memory isolation for shared memory across the ARMv7 application processor, DSP, and MCU.
Amazon Devices - IoT Products
- Shipped multiple battery-powered Smart Home devices running FreeRTOS
- Worked from early prototype and board bring-up through production ramps with contract manufacturers and in-field support
- Designed and shipped on-device low-soap detection for auto-replenishment on a connected soap dispenser, from design doc and simulation to an 8-bit MCU implementation
- Wrote SPI, I2C and UART drivers from datasheets, replacing unreliable vendor drivers
- Profiled power with current measurements and tuned firmware for months to years of battery life
Texas Instruments - Low Power RF MCUs
- TI-RTOS firmware and reference applications for ARM Cortex-M wireless SoCs, working with BLE, IEEE 802.15.4, and proprietary Sub-1 GHz stacks and their drivers.
- Built hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure used to validate hundreds of RF and wireless chips.
- Supported customer firmware bring-up, debugging board- and SoC-level hardware and software issues.
Texas Instruments - Processors
- Built an ultrasound app in C and C++ across a Linux processor and a DSP in a multiprocessor SoC, to process and visualize the signal.
